Call for Workshop Proposals to CyberSciTech 2017
Cyberization of new aspects of human existence brings continual evolution to the digital world. The physical, social, and mental world will interact closely through the cyberspace in the nearest future. These interactions may bring revolutionary change as well as significant problems to how we understand and use cyber entities. It is necessary that cyber science and technology rise in response to these novel challenges in complexity, safety, security, and many other qualities of cyber interactions.
CyberSciTech 2017 invites workshops to enrich and broaden the research focus of the main conference. The workshops will be focused on (a) new scientific disciplines enabled by cyberspace; (b) latest transformative research ideas, technologies and applications in cyber science and technology, and (c) emerging challenges and issues related to cyberworlds including cyber-physical, cyber-social and cyber-mental worlds. This is a unique opportunity for researchers and industry practitioners to shape the future research directions and share their original research results and practical development experiences related to cyber science and technology.
Workshop proposals should contain the following information:
- The title of the workshop, including both full name and abbreviation.
- The objectives, scope and contributions to the main conference (up to 1 page).
- The short bios of the key organizers and their experience in conference/workshop organization.
- The procedure for selecting papers, plans for dissemination (e.g., how to advertise the workshops or submit to special issues of journals), and the expected number of participants.
- A tentative list of program committee members.
- A tentative website/URL of the proposed workshop.
- If the proposed workshop has been previously organized, please also briefly describe its history (e.g., number of submissions and accepted papers, attendance, etc.)
Please email your intellectually stimulating workshop proposals in PDF format as early as possible and not later than February 28, 2017 to the workshop chairs at cyberscitechcongress AT gmail DOT com. Please use “CyberSciTech 2017 workshop proposal” as the email subject. Once we receive a workshop proposal, a decision on the proposed workshop will be made within week. Accepted workshops should strictly follow the important dates, particularly paper notification and camera-ready dates (refer to the rough timeline below).

The congress will provide workshop facilities including the working notes printing, meeting rooms, coffee breaks, lunches, proceedings, etc.
A workshop paper should be 6-8 pages and follow the same Paper Submission Guidelines for the main conference papers. Each paper should be reviewed at least by two experts in the corresponding areas. All accepted workshop papers will be included in the proceedings published by IEEE-CS Conference Publishing Services in IEEE-DL and EI index.
Note that each workshop should include at least 5 papers, otherwise it will be canceled. The accepted papers in a canceled workshop may be moved to another workshop, or the main conference track if they fit in with the quality requirement. The registration requirement and procedure for workshop papers will be determined by CyberSciTech Organizing Committee, and the registration fee will be paid directly to CyberSciTech 2017. The registration fee can be waived for one workshop’s main organizer if there are more than 10 accepted papers in the workshop.
We are looking forward to your exciting workshop proposals.
